What I do
Profile 1.jpg

I describe myself as a facilitator not a trainer. My style is to create physiologically safe spaces both in-person and virtually, allowing people to stretch, explore and ask themselves the sometimes difficult questions.  I take a coaching style, supporting teams through facilitated discussion to find their own insights (those lightbulb moments) and solutions to challenges that they face.

I create fun, creative learning environments using a range of media and techniques to ensure an engaging experience that enable everyone involved to have a voice and be part of creating solutions and learning.

Models & Method

Models and method are the tools to great dialogue, they are aids to making breakthroughs, and give shape to programmes and events designed to enable whatever the change or important conversations needed.

Participants should always remember the discussions, experience and actions they have set themselves first, the tools we use along the way are there to enable it to happen.

                      CULTURE – Going beyond your values to create clarity

We often assume everyone is moving in the same direction but rarely stop to check. When we don’t, we waste energy pulling against each other - leading to mixed messages, inconsistent decisions, constant firefighting, low engagement and poor wellbeing.

Are people in your organisation clear on what your values look like in action? Do they know the behaviours that shape your culture? And is your leadership culture clearly defined so leaders understand what’s expected and how it supports your vision and values?

If these areas need some fine tuning or attention, I can help you work with your people to shape clearly defined behaviours for leaders and the wider teams that bring your values and culture to life in real terms, creating the strong foundation needed for other interventions to be truly successful.

This could include;

  • Review of current organisational documents and communications

  • Cocreation of behaviour framework (leadership or wider)

    • Workshops with leaders

    • Team workshops

    • Questionnaires

    • Interviews

  • Support internal comms team to work up to in-house style

  • Support the launch and roll out

                    LEADERSHIP – Modelling culture and guiding people towards purpose

With a clear culture in place, leaders can offer consistent leadership while still bringing their own strengths, and teams have a clear picture of how to thrive in the workplace – but do they need support with self-awareness, leadership literacy and the skills needed to navigate the world of management and leadership, a different toolbox needed than for the work itself?

So many subject matter experts find themselves in management and leadership roles and need the tools to do this very different role.

Wherever your leaders are at, I can design the right opportunity to allow them to explore and build their knowledge and skills in safely, ready to allow them to then consistently meet the needs of their teams to be successful for the organisation, while avoiding costs associated with burnout and firefighting, and freeing up time for innovation and growth.

This could include;

  • Pause to Accelerate leadership retreats

    • Building leadership team cohesion

    • Using Psychometric tools to provide a shared language

    • Trust building

  • Masterclass or whole programmes covering:

    • Creating an individual Leadership vision and purpose

    • Leading with positive regard

    • Having difficult conversations

    • Building a coaching culture in Leadership – theory and practice

    • Leading in a changing world

    • Building Psychological safety and trust in teams

    • Understanding the dynamics of high performing teams

  • Facilitated Action Learning sets to build peer community and find real world solutions to current challenges

  • 121 coaching

                 TEAMS – Collaborating effectively to achieve outcomes

Teams without clear direction or strong leadership may still have passion and commitment, but they often become inefficient. Trust and communication can break down, morale and wellbeing can drop, and this can lead to sickness, low retention, and growing skills gaps.

In contrast, high-performing teams led effectively and with a clear understanding of their roles and purpose are more productive and motivated. They support one another, have room for creativity and innovation, and enable leaders to focus on strategic planning, continuous improvement, and driving business needs.

Some teams need more support than others, I can work with your teams to build trust, refocus on their purpose, build understanding of each other’s strengths and support needs and make commit to actions and behaviours that build towards high performance and greater resilience.

This could include;

  • Time out of the normal workplace to focus on:

    • Uncover the team purpose and vision

    • Build trust as a team, get to know each other as people

    • Who are their customers and how do they experience them?

    • Put high performance under the microscope – where are they as a team?

    • Innovation and blue sky thinking for future plans

    • Translate the organisational values and behaviours to their own roles

    • Agree new behaviours and team commitments
